If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?
– Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
The world is changing. Our experience of the world is getting more and more virtual. Between the staged, glossy pictures of the influencers’ profiles, omnipresent bots and AI, post-truth media and science, we don’t know what is reality any more. We are constantly under pressure to have a perfect virtual image that looks real at the same time. Every opinion we express is getting analysed by an army of critics, and the jury is already out whether you are telling the truth or spreading lies.
What if we relax these expectations and assume everything we present virtually is fictional, as if it existed in a parallel universe? Did you actually go on that holiday in Ibiza while your team was working tirelessly to meet a deadline? Who cares, the pictures look great! All we want is to feel good, and the experience and interaction with the fellow human beings.
Sequel is a social platform from a parallel universe where everything is for fun and purely fictional.
Choose who you want to be today, your ideal self, a character or anything (we call them ‘sparks’), and share with the world what’s going on and how you feel about it. Your spark can be an imaginary person you want to be right now, an ancient warrior, a cat or a dragon. There are no limits to your imagination.
Sequel is currently in beta.
